Today I completed the dovetail fixture, did some testing and routed the dovetail. the neck fits snugly. Im happy, Next I can back cut the underside of the neck extension so the neck will seat at the correct 1" bridge height .

I started the fixture for routing the body/neck dovetail and the body end graft. templates will be installed on top or bottom of this fixture. Im nearly done with the 3 piece maple back , this one is tiger maple and birdseye maple. just a little more car

New depth stop gauge for shop fox pin router. I got very tired of adjusting the nuts for every depth adjustment. I now have a stacked plywood guage that can be slid in or out of position . Each plywood leaf is 7/64". . I can pin rout seated and adjust d

I decided to make the back a 3 piece back instead of 2. I've run a tapered middle section and then 2 pieces of curley maple, striking! I started the shaping process on the pin router using a topographic template to get the arch started.

Today I cut and fit the braces for the top.They are made of a sandwich of spruce and .039 carbon fiber epoxied together. They are smaller than standard but way stiffer.Ill be gluing they in this week.

Newly pin routed f-holes for Rockers arch top looks awesome. Next up, braces for the spruce top.

Topo templates and a new sanding disc for flattening the rims and linings before gluing. F-hole pin rout placement test and carved spruce top waiting for f-holes.
